Be still

  In a very busy world, the world was suddenly put into a halt following what just happened that shocked everyone. The Global Pandemic of 2019!

Be Still 

This is the very word spoken by God to Moses when they are at the end of a scape route from Egypt, where they are pursued after setting them free. This is one of the most death defying scene if you are watching an adventure movie, where life and death situation is into play.


As it relates to the Global Pandemic, the world was placed in a situation no one can do anything but to stay home and lock ourselves inside our house. 

Why is it necessary to BE STILL?

This is the irony of having someone to rely on. Where faith is much more required. It is an in-between scenario where you cannot step backwards neither move forward. There’s nothing we can do except to worry or trust. 
As it was clearly told, Moses heard the voice of God telling him and the Israelites to BE STILL. 
Moses heard it clearly and told the people what he heard, majority complained but in awe, they saw what God has done. This is the most majestic display of God’s power! 
Is it worth it?, definitely yes! The command of God comes with a promise of deliverance when you are in a clear and present danger. In whatever circumstances we are into, hear God’s voice, instead of reacting too quickly, wait on God. 

What can we get?

We can see God’s hand working in the midst of danger and uncertainty. When all our resources are gone, no one to turn to but God. 
This classic story has been taught worldwide, there are many instances where faithful people experienced the same thing and God showed His greatness and power over and over again. 
As it was mentioned earlier, why is it necessary to be still? In a different perspective, seeing the global pandemic’s effect, the world became still, and the effect was significant! To our environment, pollution stopped! People had realization about their priorities. There are so many testimonies of how the lockdown changed not just their daily activities but the way they think. A new way of seeing things that has long been ignored.

What can we learn?

Definitely, this has taught several lessons to all those who’ve experienced God’s power, over and over again. I will not mention here, but im inviting every reader of this post to share in the comment section what is or are your stories and what have you learned?
